Making a tutu at home for the little girl in your life can pay off. Not only is it wallet friendly but you will be a hit at her next ballet class or recital. Since there are many different ways to go about making a tutu, you may be confused or feel overwhelme 00004000 d. You also may not have access to a sewing machine or be very good with a needle and thread, so you will need to learn how to make a tutu without sewing. This technique is quite simple and is thought to be a faster and easier way to make a tutu instead of using any kind of hand tool.
First, you need to decide what you are going to use as a waistband. The waistband is going to serve as the structure of the tutu as it will hold everything together, so it is suggested to pick something that is strong and firm, like a wide piece of elastic. Ribbon can also be used, but most likely that will not be strong enough and may not hold up very well since the material is going to be tied to it. Use whatever you please, be creative and try new ideas, you never know, your idea may come out looking better than you think!
Next, you need to cut pieces of your material, tulle, into sections and start knotting it to the waistband with little or no space in between. If you are going for a funky or fun look and you are using two colors of tulle, you can alternate the colors as you knot them onto the elastic.
That's pretty much all there is to it! The advantages of making a tutu without sewing are straightforward. The tutu will be more stable since the tulle will be knotted directly onto the waistband, there is no threading to come loose and look sloppy. The tutu will also have a fuller look because the knots will cause more bulk at the top and give that "poof" effect that most ballerinas love about their tutus.

QUESTION:
I was wondering what causes vaginal infections?
This may sound totally gross but I get vaginal infections all the time. At least once every other month.
What happens is I get a milky colored, stinky discharge (a lot of it) It is so disgusting. I am very clean and I dont understand why I get these so often.
I know this is nastly but the discharge smells like garlic. Yuck!
Its really starting to make me not want to have sex because he notices.
Does it sound like maybe an std? Or do I have just a regular infection? The doctors just say its an infection and give me meds but dont tell me how to make them stop reoccuring
Thanks for the help!-
ANSWER:
Vaginal infections are actually caused from a lack of the natural bacteria in your private area. Don't wash those areas with any soap at all! Your body just needs it's bacteria to regrow, even though it may seem gross to leave it smelly. Also eating alot of yogurt with live and active cultures can help.

QUESTION:
What are the causes of vaginal infection ?
How can you tell whether or not you're infected without going to the doctor ? I'm just wondering. And also, what are the causes of leukemia ? And again, how can you tell whether or not you have leukemia ? Thanks in advance! And no stupid answers, please. Thanks.-
ANSWER:
Infections occur because naturally occurring bacteria or fungus take root. There is a constant battle between bacteria and fungi and your immune system. Sometimes, the bacteria or fungi win.Certain things increase the chance of an infection taking hold:
1. Trapping sweat with synthetic materials. Moisture makes fungi and bacteria grow more easily.
2. High blood sugar.
3. Vigorous sex makes micro abrasions that make it easier for infections to take hold.Fungal infections (also known as yeast infections - yeast is a kind of fungus) and bacterial infections occur in women who have not had sex. Sex is not a necessary component of an infection. You can guess that you have a yeast infection and take an over the counter yeast infection treatment. But if you have a bacterial infection, this will make it worse, so be prepared to go to the doctor.
Bacteria and fungi naturally compete with each other, so if you take an antifungal (yeast infection medicine), it will make a bacterial infection worse because you're removing the competition.

QUESTION:
Is it fair for my girlfriend to blame me for a vaginal infection she developed?
Not to be too graphic, but basically, we were doing some fooling around that involved the placement of sugary foods in her vaginal canal. She developed some kind of infection shortly afterwards, and blames me for that. Is it actually my fault, or can the presence of foreign sugars in a woman's vaginal canal actually cause infections?-
ANSWER:
If she allowed you, then it is BOTH of your faults lol. Although it sounds as if neither one of you knew any better. She most likely now has a yeast infection, correct? Yeast feed and thrive on sugar, and other than taking antibiotics is one of the surest ways to contract one.

QUESTION:
Please anwer- could I get a vaginal infection from this?
I took a bowel movement today (poop, crap, whatever) and when it fell into the toilet bowl a little bit of water splashed back up into my genital area. I know that the bacteria in feces can cause vaginal infections, but it was only a drop of water and the crap had JUST hit the water. I cleaned myself off twice with vaginal wipes, and I wiped in the right direction. What else should I do? Do you think I'm okay?-

QUESTION:
Causes and cures of vaginal yeast infection?
I got a yeast infection about 3/4 days ago.. The burning now is not as intense as it was then, but it still bugs me a great deal.
This is the first time this has happened to me, so I dont really understand what causes a yeast infection.I heard that tampon pads may cause it, if they do, could I use tampons again. Also, I know that you can buy over the counter medicine like Vagisil and Monistat, but could this infection heal by itself? Does yogurt help?-
ANSWER:
Get Monistat, it helps insert it before you go to sleep, so it can stay up there a while. It does help. Eat yogurt, it definitely cannot hurt you. If you are not better with those two things(in a few days) call your family physician or gynecologist.

QUESTION:
Can a yeast infection cause vaginal sores?
The past two times I've been on an antibiotic I've gotten a yeast infection and at the same time I've also gotten little sores around my vagina. I can't really see them with a mirror but I can feel them and they hurt. I know for a fact that I don't have genital herpes because I've been tested for it recently. Can a yeast infection or other kind of vaginal infection cause sores? I was looking online but didn't find much information although I know that other types of yeast infections can cause rashes.I know I should go to my doctor but I've been on painkillers so I can't drive and I have no one to drive me and I'm looking for a new gynocologist since I had a lot of issues with my last one.
Prof. Dr. Gayane Dolyan- Did you even bother reading my question? Your links didn't help me at all and had nothing to do with the question. I've been tested for STDs and I know I don't have any and nothing in the links had anything to do with bumps or sores.-

QUESTION:
what kind of vaginal infection could i have?
the other day i had sex with my boyfriend and we had anal sex and then vaginal sex straight after. i told one of my friends and she said you shouldnt do that cause it can cause infection? i now have a really smelly vagina and its really embarassing!! i heard that if you put natural yoghurt in your vagina it helps, or vinegar?? please help, id rather avoid going to the doctors as i get really embarassed.-
ANSWER:
Actually, my previous ob/gyn used to recommend that I put yogurt on a tampon and insert it for a vaginal infection; they also used to teach in medical school that this was a good way to rebalance the acidophilus in the vagina during a yeast infection. However, it wasn't recommended for any other type of infection, and within the last two years, there have been more studies showing this is completely useless, as the strain of acidophilus in the yogurt is completely different from the strain of acidophilus in the vagina, so it's not helpful in any way. It will also interfere with any kind of tests you may need to have at the doctor's office to determine the type of infection you may have.A certain type of vinegar is actually in vaginal douche products, but only a certain kind that is diluted a certain way. Douching is actually known to be harmful to your vaginal tissue, especially during an infection, and putting straight vinegar up there that isn't specially formulated can be downright dangerous and send you straight to the doctor or ER.
I would say it's likely you ended up with a type of vaginal infection caused by E.Coli, a bacteria that typically is carried in stool (fecal matter) and tends to live inside the anus. This is why you should NEVER have vaginal sex after anal; if you absolutely must do this, always use condoms - one for the anal, one for the vaginal, as well as having him wash his penis in between.
An E.coli or other bacterial infection of the vagina cannot be treated with yogurt or other yeast infection meds like you would obtain at the store. The only treatment would be either a penicillin-based antibiotic that you take orally, or a vaginal antibiotic if the infection were caused by a different bacteria, like gardnerella. You can only obtain these antibiotics through a doctor.
You also need to rule out other STDs like Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Trichomoniasis, which can also cause a smell (Trichomoniasis can actually be transmitted even if you used a condom).
If you leave the infection untreated, it can damage vaginal and cervical tissue, as well as lead to something called pelvic inflammatory disease, kind of like toxic shock syndrome. That can be fatal if it goes for too long untreated, so it's important to get to a gynecologist ASAP if you ever suspect a vaginal infection. The gynecologist won't laugh or scold you - they see tons of these types of infections every week, even every day. They want to help you feel better; that's what they're there for.

QUESTION:
Can this cause vaginal bacterial infection?
I know it's probably a stupid question but I've always thought that your vagina cleanses itself and flushes all the bad stuff out.Anyways I was stuck at the beach all day with sand in my bikini bottom and I tried to get a lot of it out but beach bathrooms are so nasty and there's no sinks. Can't really wash yourself up, so now ever since then...I've been feeling irritation down there even though I've washed. It's been like 4 days now.
-
ANSWER:
You're right, your vagina does cleanse itself by flushing out harmful bacteria, dirt, dead cells etc. and it's slightly acidic pH helps kill off anything nasty...If you've washed then it may not be the sand and other nasties from the beach - but, although the vagina does self-clean it can only do so much, it can take time for it to recover after it's had something nasty inside it, so it may be a little under the weather for a few days. It may have brought on an infection, if worried then see a doctor to check for infections.

QUESTION:
My bf and I fooled around(genitals touched) could this be cause of vaginal infection?
A couple of months ago, my bf and i were fooling around and we pretty much had sex, except no penetration. Now I have a vaginal infection. Could our fooling around have caused this? It was just genitals touching. Nothing more.
I had been treated for a yeast infection, but it hasn't gone away. I always have not taken any bubble baths, i don't wear very tight pants, and the infection has lasted for over a week to two weeks.-
ANSWER:
It should have happened sooner than that. Think about what you have been doing lately. Have you been wearing tight pants? No underwear? Taken a bubble bath? A lot of vaginal infections are caused by Ph imbalances. Use some Vagisil and if it persists after a week, check it out with a doctor.

QUESTION:
i'm married, mother of one son.is frequent sex can cause vaginal infection?
we have sex three to four times a week. i have awful discharge. is this the cause of frequent sex?-
ANSWER:
NO it is not,sex dose not cause infection, but rough handleling dose, like rape.
Since you are a mother, this is not so,infection can be caused by lots of other things like,if the weather is warm and you wear a tight fitting underwear, there is a posibility that this will cause an infection.
Stress is also one of the causes of infection.
If your hubby is having one it could also be passed on to you.
Sex should be fun ana painless,as you are a mother already if it is any different do go to your gyno for help,as it would be best,no one would like sex if it would be painfull.
Good luck.

QUESTION:
Tricomoniasis (vaginal infection) can go on its own?
My doctor didn´t examine my vaginal discharges but diagnosticated Tricomoniasis, a type of vaginal infection caused by a parasite. The problem is that I have not taken any medication and the symptoms have gone away just using vagisil and he prescribed me Diflucan and Tetraconazole, both medicaments for yeast infections, although, is supposedly a parasite infection what I have. Please tell me if, according to these statements, you think I have tricomoniasis or why is it that I don´t feel any symptoms now.-
ANSWER:
Trichomoniasis is a genital infection. It is a common infection that affects both men and women. It is almost always acquired through sexual contact. Most of the time, trichomoniasis causes no symptoms. At times, symptoms in women may include the following:
+ abdominal distress
+ dyspareunia, or painful sexual intercourse
+ painful urination
+ vaginal discharge
Diagnosis of trichomoniasis begins with a history and physical exam. With proper treatment, trichomoniasis has no long-term effects.+ Diflucan is an antifungal antibiotic.
+ Diflucan is used to treat infections caused by fungus, which can invade any part of the body including the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood.Metronidazole is highly effective against trichomoniasis.

What else, besides a vaginal infection, could cause a strong odor after sex?
I'm 21, and have never had children. I only have had one sexual partner, my husband (and just to clarify neither of us have any STD's)I get a pap every 6 months and I've never had a yeast infection. I don't have skin irritation and the odor isn't fishy. I take showers/baths often and use mild soaps without dyes or fragrance, so it's not that I'm not clean.
I always smell it really stongly after sex. What could cause this?

I know what you mean, I think it's just the combinations of the fluids. It sounds weird, I know, but I get the same thing and it's only after sex, so that's gotta be it.

At times when i have sexual intercourse and im not wet enough me and my partner use lotion, or hand lotion, we use it like if its lubricant..can the use of lotion cause like a vaginal infection or is it bad in any way?-
ANSWER:
That could be very bad!!! Number 1 cause of infections is anything contaning perfume or scented anything. Soap, tampons, you name it, can cause bacterial infections. I would recommend KY jelly or any Feminine lubricant. Hand lotion really doesn't lube you up that much anyways, so I would try any of those. Happy Humping!!

QUESTION:
What are the causes of a vaginal yeast infection?-
ANSWER:
Vaginal yeast infection, also called "Candida vaginal infections," typically are caused by the Candida albicans fungus. During a lifetime, 75% of all women are likely to have at least 1 vaginal Candida infection, and up to 45% have 2 or more. Women tend to be more likely to get vaginal yeast infections if their bodies are under stress from poor diet, lack of sleep, illness, or when they are pregnant or taking antibiotics. Women with immune-suppressing diseases such as diabetes and HIV infection also are at increased risk.
Vaginal Yeast infection is not very serious, but is usually uncomfortable.
So there is no need to worry about it.
Vaginal yeast infection is caused by two factors:
One is the pathogenic factor which is called "wet" and "hot" by the TCM produced by the internal organs of the body.
The other is the external cause which is infected with contacting insanitary items such as bathing and so on.
Vaginitis Powder is composed of many famous and precious herbs which are selected by a number of famous Chinese medicine doctors. Its ingredients are targeted, so Vaginitis Powder can clear easily all internal and external causes of colpomycosis, thus to cure the disease.
Clinical practice proves that the treatment effect of Vaginitis Powder is very good.

QUESTION:
Can vaginal infection cause a miscarriage? I had a miscarriage and I don't know what caused it.?
The baby died in the 9th week and I only realized it in in the 11th. In the 8th week its hart rate was 173, and it was 1.8 cm big, everything was perfectly normal. I'm 26, healthy, no drug abuse, no alcohol, no smoking, healthy diet, healthy lifestyle. No case in my family history indicated that I should be prepared for this. I really want to know what caused it, but I'm not sure doctors in my country will be able to tell.I did have a vaginal infection and I took Polygynax (Doctor recommended) capsules. Can that have caused it?
I also didn't have a lot of appetite, still I ate everything but cheese and milk, which I used to like before my pregnancy.
Any feedback would be very useful. Thank you very much in advance.
-
ANSWER:
Maybe, maybe not.
I'm sorry that you had to go through this.
Remember that about 25% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage and in most cases, we don't know why. So, in all likelihood, it was not because of something you did and there may have been nothing you could have done to prevent it.

QUESTION:
Women's health - My inner vaginal lips are long? Causing infection?
My inner vaginal lips (please tell me what it is called!) are probably longer than usual. I get discharge a lot. I was wondering if that causes the discharge and if there some kind of procedure to help with this?-
ANSWER:
They're called your labia minora. It's normal for them to be longer and that's not causing infection. They couldn't cause an infection. Actually, I doubt you have an infection, a lot of discharge is normal and as long as it's not a color other than clear, white, or even a yellowish tint or has a weird smell you're normal. There's no surgery to help with discharge, it's healthy, it cleans out your vagina. There is surgery called labiaplasty to make your labias shorter but I doubt that's necessary, it's usually done for aesthetic rather than health reasons. But it is possible for longer labia minora to cause irritation because they rub against your clothes and if that happens you could talk to your doctor.

QUESTION:
Can a yeast infection cause bumps inside of the vaginal canal?
I have a yeast infection (for about 6 days now) and as of tonight I have noticed flesh colored bumps with no puss inside the opening of my vagina. I am not sexually active so I do not think it is from a STD, could this be a result of the yeast infection since I am quite swollen and was previously on strong antibiotics from an illness? I am going to the doctor tomorrow but this is really bothering me!!-
ANSWER:
A yeast infect. can cause redness, soreness, and itching. You will also have a cottage cheese looking discharge, it is thick and will be on the skin down there. Antibiotics will give you a yeast infection and your doctor should have given you medicine for it when he/she gave you the antibiotics, if not you need to always tell them you need something every time you take them. I always get yeast from the antibiotics myself and if i forget to tell my doctor then i have to buy something over the counter for it, it cost about the same anyway but, the pill the doc can give you for yeast is much better ,I think ! you can take it while on antibiotics so you you want get yeast ! The bumps you see may just be normal on the skin there and they look red and swollen from the yeast infec. I wouldn't worry much about it sense you know you couldn't have an S.T.D. sense you don't have sexual relations! But if you have ever had sex with anyone then you might be concerned. Still your doctor will help you more about this so, don't worry about it sense you will be seeing someone real soon!! Then you will feel better. I bet its nothing anyway, just the yeast. so good luck to ya! hope you feel better!

QUESTION:
Does a birth-control-caused vaginal fungal infection go away when you get used to the pill?
Hi, I have started using the Valette birth control (also goes by the name "Jeanine" i think) since about 1 month. After using it for just about 3 weeks, I developed an awful itch in my privates, which my obgyn diagnosed as a harmless fungal infection. May be harmless but it's so so so annoying and uncomfortable
The doc said these kinds of infections are mostly caused by hormonal change which i guess in my case could be the start of the birth control use.
I was wondering if I will have to endure these infections monthly, or if they will stop occurring once my body gets used to it....but the hormone regulation does stay changed, so would these infections really stop? please help, I really don't want these to continue!!! If they do, i would immediately switch brands...which ones work to avoid these infections???
I don't know if this makes I difference, but I'm 18 years old

QUESTION:
Can antibotics cause a vaginal infection or irritation?
I had a really bad cold last week and I was prescribed amoxicillin. I took 2 pink pills twice a day for ten days. I was wondering if maybe these amoxicillan pills could cause a vaginal infection. Nothing has changed in this past time a little over a week except the medication. I have been having irritating soreness and itchiness on my vagina. I also have been on my period and pads are rubbing the irritated skin as well I just am wondering if the antibotics could've caused this. There is no discharge that I can see. I think it might be the beginning stages of a yeast infection. I already have a doctor's appointment I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this before when taking amoxicillan.
i bought some vagisil and some summer's eve feminine powders will these help?-

QUESTION:
confussed... can sperm cause a vaginal infection?
my vagina itches extemely, it is red and a little bit swollen. Can you get some type of infection if after you have sex, there is still some remaining sperm in and on your vagina. because i had sex last night and this morning there was still some sperm left. Can that lead to an infection? Are you supposed to clean after you have sex. This has never happened to me before, and i am in alot of pain right now.-
ANSWER:
Honey, It sounds like you have a yeast infection. One of the best ways to avoid this is to wash after sex however it does help if you pee after sex. Sounds strange I know, but I am prone to bladder infections and my Dr. told me to at least pee after sex. Help flush fluids away.
Good luck with that ... And do not have sex till you get it taken care of - as a yeast infection (should it be that ) can spread to men.

QUESTION:
Does a yeast infection caused a missed period?
I have had a yeast infection before. But now Im itching again down there and my period hasn't shown though I already went through pms last week. Two questions:1- can a yeast infection be the cause of my missed period?
2-Can the internal vaginal procedures cause a Yeast infection? I went through a pelvic ultrasound and a HSG within two weeks of eachother about three weeks ago.
-
ANSWER:
Yes, a yeast infection can be related to a late period, but it's not necessarily the cause. (It could be hormone changes that cause the yeast infection AND the late period.) Before treating the yeast infection, take a pregnancy test, just in case! If you are pregnant, it would be best to discuss with a doctor before using anything over the counter -- some types of yeast infection medicine explicitly say not for use while pregnant, but you won't know that until you read the fine print inside after purchase!

ANSWER:
it looks like you have yeast infection and you must get rid of it as soon as it is possible!!!if you really want to get rid of yeast infection forever then you must follow these tips:
1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.
2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.
3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.
4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.
5) Try gentian violet. It's a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad - it stains everything.
6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.
7) You must use herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months - if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore...I do not know if any pharmacies carry Yeastrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.yeastrol.com/?aid=221781
good luck!

what is caused of vaginal yeast infection?
women, just want to know if you had an idea why most of has this problem.
give good answer and you get good points..-
ANSWER:
Yeast infection usually is cause by over population of Candida Albicans in the vagina, rectum, and mouth. While it is known to be a women health issue, men also can contract a yeast infection, if they have unprotected sexual activity with a partner who has a yeast infection (NOTE: Yeast infection IS NOT a STD).A yeast infection will not cause the women to miss her period. Actually the period should clear up any mild yeast infection, since fungal causing the infection (Candida Albicans) don't like the PH created by menstrual bleeding.
Factors that may contribute to development of yeast infection are as follow:
•Antibiotic treatments (it is recommended while taking antibiotic to eat plain yogurt having “active Yeast” as one of its ingredients)
•Oral contraceptives
•Hot weather or non-ventilating clothing, which increase moisture and warmth, fostering fungal growth
•Repeated intercourse over a short period of time
•Stress
•Suppressed immune system (including HIV)
•High carbohydrate intake, especially refined sugars and alcohol
•Pregnancy
•Diabetes
•In cases, it has been observed that certain types of soaps, powders, new detergents, certain type of condoms, latex, and other products which cause irritation.
While there are many over counter medication to treat Yeast Infection, it is always advised to see a physician to ensure the symptoms are only yeast infection and nothing else. Note that there are other health problems, including a few STDs which have similar symptoms, thus they should be ruled out ASAP.Is a yeast infection dangerous?
